NAR is hosting a series of trainings providing guidance on the changes to the Code of Ethics that were approved by the NAR Board of Directors on November 13, 2020.  Click on the image to register for one of the trainings.
 
Additionally, on Thursday, November 19, 2020 NAR reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to develop rules that more explicitly state what is already the spirit and intent of NAR’s Code of Ethics and MLS policies regarding providing information about commissions and MLS participation. NAR will work with the DOJ to agree on exact rule changes within 45 days; then the Board of Directors will then have to approve the new rules. The court overseeing the settlement must formally approve it, at which point we anticipate that the new rules will take effect. NAR will keep members apprised of official rule changes as more details are available. For more information about this, click here.

RATE INCREASE INFORMATION SEA COLONY
 
We recently received an update from Sea Colony on rate increases and wanted to get this information to you. You will see the announcement below.  Please note that this applies to all Agreements of Sale dated January 1 and moving forward.  Transactions generated from 2020 will be charged the previous rate.

PRE-LICENSING COURSE

DUES PAST DUE
 
Thank you to those who paid their dues on time!  We still have some members with outstanding dues.  The second $25 late fee was assessed today. If you still owe your dues, please pay before 12/31/20 or your membership will be deactivated.  Additionally, a reinstatement fee of $50 will be added to your bill.
 
HELP THE FOOD BANK
 
We are conducting a VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVE through the Food Bank of Delaware, our goal is to donate $1,500 worth of food to the Food Bank. To make a direct purchase of food for the hungry, click on the donation image.

HOME TEST KITS
 
The State of Delaware is expanding options for COVID-19 detection through the addition of an at-home testing options. This method of testing is available to Delaware residents only.  The Division of Public Health encourages any Delawarean over the age of 60 and those in high risk groups to utilize this testing method.  Additionally, the Div. of Public Health recommends this testing method for the following communities and risks (as of 11/10/2020): Sussex County Zip Codes - 19940, 19941, 19947, 19956, 19960, 19970, 19971, 19973, 19975
